Before Christmas last year we bought a gingerbread house to decorate over Christmas, but we ran out of time, so we decided to make it around Easter time instead, so of course made it flowery! Barnabas was keen to put lots of wildlife in the garden!
A lovely hidden gem. Well worth a visit. You step back in time when you step inside, especially as the volunteers who maintain the windmill give you first hand stories of life in Eastbourne many decades ago.
Sometimes Buzz goes to Daddy’s workshop and gets to have a go on some tools and asks lots of questions. He loves it! These photos are from a visit when he learned some electronics. Daddy is planning a time to make a wooden clock together soon for Buzz’s bedroom.
The first day of school after we’d taken Buzz out of school we wanted to do something really fun, so that he didn’t feel that he was missing out by not being at school. It just so happened that some other local homeschoolers were going to visit the recycling facility for our area, with a guided tour by the manager. It was fantastic, and I was so proud of Buzz for asking the manager some really good questions. We intend to visit the incinerator and the composting site as well in due course.
